Wildlfe Tours:
Africa

Africa is probably best known for its wildlife safaris – and for good reason.  A continent filled with elephants, hippos, lions, bufflo, leopards, and rhinoceros, just to name a few, makes for an exciting destination for wildlife enthusiasts.

Treat yourself to a trip to world-class Kruger National Park in South Africa, the amazing Okavango Delta in Botswana, the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya, or the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.  No matter which wildlife adventure you choose, you won’t be disappointed.

Located in the Kalahari Desert, the Okavango Deltaicon is one of the best wildlife viewing places in Africa, and ranks in the top wildlife spots to visit on the globe.

This pristine environment has very little development, which means that you are really “out in the bush.” The Okavango is a series of canals that wind their way through numerous small islands.

This wetland is flooded seasonally between March and June. Because the flooding happens during the dry season, wildlife of every kind migrate to this oasis from the surrounding plains.

In this unique wetland area, you would be hard pressed not to encounter baboons, elephant, lions, giraffe, cheetah, and buffalo. Birding is also phenomenal here, especially during the breeding season.

When you think of wildlife safaris in Africa, probably the first destination to come to mind is the Serengeti in Tanzania. Known for its seasonal mass migration of zebra and wildebeest between the southern plains and the northern hills, the Serengeti totals nearly 4 million acres in size.

Serengeti National Park is home to lions, elephants, dik-dik (miniature antelopes), giraffe, impala, gazelle, zebras, black rhinos, and more birds than you can shake a stick at.

This tripicon also takes you to the top of the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, to Lake Victoria on the Kenya-Tanzania border, and to Mto Wa Mbu, a small African town where you can get to see what life is like for the locals. The trip concludes with a stop in Nairobi, Kenya where you can get a feel for big city life in an African capital.
